HOME VISITING VOLUNTEERS
THE AIM of the Visiting Service is to provide companionship and friendship for lonely, isolated and housebound older people living in their own homes in Horsham District.
Our visitors lend a listening ear and a caring, sensitive approach to the emotional and practical needs of older people, since this is often their only link to the wider community.
If you have a friendly manner and can easily start and continue a conversation, you might be able to help an older person who doesn’t see many people as they can’t get out of the house or who has just come home from hospital.
